Option 1 — Delete from the app
The quickest way to close your account is from inside the app:
- Sign in at cardots.net/login
- Open Settings
- Scroll to the Delete account section and confirm
Your profile, dots, collections, comments, likes, saves and follows are removed immediately; residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email us
If you can't sign in (lost email access, forgotten credentials, etc.), email us and we'll delete your account manually within 30 days:
Send account deletion request to [email protected]
Or write to [email protected] with the subject Account deletion request and include the email address associated with your cardots account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (username, bio, avatar, social handles)
- All dots you created and uploaded images
- Collections you own
- Comments you posted
- Likes, saves, follows
- Notification history
- Push notification tokens
- ToS acceptance records
What stays
- Moderation and audit logs (up to 12 months) — kept for trust & safety
- Copyright takedown records involving your content (up to 24 months)
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics
- Anonymous log entries older than 90 days (IPs are hashed or purged)

Timeline
Active account data: deleted within minutes of the in-app action, or within 30 days of an email request. Backups: purged within 30 days.
