How cardots respects copyright
cardots respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same of its users. Every member agrees, as part of our Terms of Service, that content they upload or save must either be theirs, shared with permission, or used in a way that qualifies as fair use, fair dealing, or permissible citation under applicable law, with proper attribution.
If you believe content on cardots infringes your copyright, you can submit a takedown notice. We aim to review valid notices within 48 hours.
How to submit a takedown notice
Send an email to [email protected] with all of the following:
- Your full name, contact email, and (if applicable) organization
- Whether you are the rights holder or an authorized representative
- The URL on cardots of the infringing content (e.g.
cardots.net/dot/...) - The URL where the original content was published
- A description of or link to proof of ownership or authorization
- A good faith declaration: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- An accuracy declaration under penalty of perjury: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
- Your electronic signature (full name)

What happens next
- We review the notice, typically within 48 hours.
- If valid, we remove or disable access to the content and notify the uploader.
- We record a strike against the uploader's account (see below).
- We send you a confirmation with a ticket reference.
- If the notice is incomplete or appears abusive, we may ask for clarification or decline to act.
Repeat infringer policy (three strikes)
cardots enforces a three-strike policy. A user who receives three valid takedown notices within a rolling 12-month period will have their account permanently terminated. Strikes expire after 12 months of good standing.
Counter-notice — if your content was removed
If you believe content of yours was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can submit a counter-notice. Include your name, contact email, the URL of the removed content, the reason you believe the removal was wrong, your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Moldova, a declaration under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate, and your electronic signature.

Abuse of this process
Submitting false or bad-faith takedown notices can expose the submitter to liability under applicable law. We may refuse to process, or de-prioritize, notices from parties with a pattern of abusive filings.
